    Hi

Driving a 12 Octavia and recently in last week am hearing the fan staying on after in take our key after a short drive. It probably stays on for a minute or so and then stops

Any ideas on same??? Should I be worried and get it looked at?

I've had it for years. It's like an aircraft carrier !

    No, perfectly normal.

I wouldn't say its normal as such, it happens when the dpf was mid regeneration and the car was turned off, hear it regularly and you are in for big trouble :(

Wouldn't be too worried if the dash DPF light isn't on. My father had a Citroen that did this for years - never had to do anything to the DPF.

Did you recently get the emissions fix?

A lot of cars will run the electric fan for a bit after turning the car off on a hot day.

Well they may own an unnecessary diesel but there's not a lot the garage can do for that.
