What causes ESC warning light?

    What can cause the ESC (electronic stability control) amber warning light to come on when the car goes above 80km/h?
    Hyundai i30 2012

    The light stays on constantly until the engine is restarted and then it is off again until the car goes above 80kM/h.
    No other lights are on, only ESC.

    You need to get the error codes in the ECU, that will point you in the right direction. Its likely to be wheel speed sensor or steering angle sensor.

    The problem in the end was faulty clutch switch.
