Hi Folks, can anyone recommend a site that will advise on a few picks a month with detailed explanations as to why they are chosen. Did some forex trading before and didn't have the time I needed to invest in it. Would like to get advice and insights on methodologies so I might learn investing myself.

    Thanks

https://www.theinvestorspodcast.com I don't know if you would be interested in podcasts but if you drive stick it on your phone and play in the car anytime. This is an excellent one for general info.

For your particular interest try the mastermind group https://www.theinvestorspodcast.com/tip143-mastermind-discussion-2nd-quarter-2017/. 4 guys pick a stock each and the other 3 dig deeper into them.

I don't know if it'd be your cup of tea, but Invest by Rubicoin is an app on the App Store and it is fantastic.
Emmet Savage is one of the founders, also Irish, and they've raised a fair bit of money for the app and its developing nicely. Highly recommend it - its really simple yet useful.

If you don't have time to choose your own investments, then you really should be in index funds. While getting ideas for stocks on the internet is fine, I think abdicating responsibility for picking them is a mistake.

I didnt have time for forex trading as most of the trades seem to be made around the opening of the markets - and its simply something I cannot afford time in at that time of the day.

I would like a stock pick advice service that explained why the stock was being recommended from which I could learn to do my own analysis and choose my own investments.

But your advice is noted, thank you.
