    Hi all,

I was involved in a car accident 3 months ago (see thread here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057720742&page=3) and yesterday the garda rang me to provide a statement. They said I didnt have to as they had a statement from the other party. Can i get some advise on what could be the outcome of this as I thought all was being taken car of by the insurance companies. If I provide a statement accepting responsibility will I have to go to court etc? it was a genuine accident. Am looking at a fine and points? Its the only time ive ever had dealings with the gards or been in an accident, Ive no points having cleared 2 from 3 years ago for speeding that came in the post.
any advice would put my head in a better place as I am very stressed about the possible consequences. Do i need to get legal advise as I dont know any solicitors or ever had a need to engage with one before.
    Thanks
