Farrow & Ball over Ronseal Floorpaint?

Can I put Farrow and Ball floor paint over Ronseal Floorpaint? Would I need an undercoat or primer and if so is there a low voc/smelling one I can use? I believe the ZB one is very strong?

I bought Ronseal Floorpaint for the stairs, stairs were new stairs never painted, I washed them, lightly sanded them, used 2 coats of ronseal knot primer, followed by 3 coats of floorpaint, lightly sanded in between. Paint flaking a bit after a month - mostly on nose of stairs.

However main thing is I don't like the colour. I found the smell of the Ronseal paint very strong for a few weeks and would be reluctant to use it again due to kids allergies (part of reason for paint rather than carpet) so hence looking for a low voc primer and paint.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.
