    Hi
My gearbox works perfectly except when downshifting from 4 to 3. It wont go in 3 and i have to go down to 2. The gear works perfectly on the way up the gears. Its not making any noise, all others gears are perfect no clutch issues.
Is it anything else i need to check for?
    Is there any other possibilities?

If no noise, grinding, clunking etc and upshifts are perfect it sounds like the gearbox linkage or gaiter to be honest.

Can you shift from 4th to 3rd with the car stationary and engine off?

You can go from 4th to 2nd no problems. Not really much need going down through them all unless off road or driving on ice.
