Is the farming & forestry industry in a better or worse state now than before Ireland entered into the EU?
Is there anything you would change?
You hear from the media its going well but would prefer to hear from people in the industry.

Subsidies have been a huge help on my farm any way, some think that they've kept produce prices down but prices aren't any better away from EU interference either

but now that the world has opened up so much would it be better if Ireland didn't have quotas & could make their own deals with other countries. I mean you see that rural Ireland is not being looked after but is that our governments fault or are their hands tied by the EU

I thought there was only so much product that Ireland can produce for export, is this not true?

Ireland can sell all the agri produce they want into the EU
Population numbers will define where the money goes in this country, number of votes in an area decides the level of financing ......and of course employment

    There's nothing to debate here.

We're incomparably better off for being in the EU.
