Correct order of renovations

We bought a house 2 years ago and haven't done much yet. We'd like to start getting proper jobs done now. Just wondering what order you'd recommend doing things. Think we've already messed up a bit.

When we bought the house we had it rewired and a new heating system. Also had the walls insulated internally.

I'm annoyed we didn't get the windows done at the same time as when we do get new windows the insulated plasterboard will be damaged.

We had shelves put in the front room and painted the skirting and walls. Now we're looking at internal doors, frames and architraves. The laminate floor in the front room is not in great condition and I want to replace it. With the new doors etc. I'd like the skirting replaced too. We wasted time painting them now and they go under the new shelving (so does the floor). There were some packs of laminate floor left over so I'm going to pull up the broken ones and relay from there.

Upstairs we'll be getting 4 new doors. We're planning on painting the rooms and laying new laminate which we've already bought.

So should the order be, paint walls and ceiling, lay flooring, install new doors and frames? What about the old frames? Should we install floors right up to the current frames? Should we remove the frames?

We'll probably get new banisters too and the current one sits into the frame on one of the doors.

Also the tiles in the bathroom go right up to the frame so I think some tile swill be damaged. We're planning on doing that up at some stage too. Should we just do it now?

Should really have done everything before we moved in. :D
