Hi, you need to make sure that the contract is signed by the builder also before you upload. Also need to include signed copy of loan offer with bank as part of claim.

    Hi andym10,

You just need a scanned copy of the copy you signed at the solicitors.

I Just complete it and what I uploaded was scanned copy of contract from both parties,
and Just letter of loan offer from bank. I did sign it in solicitor but i didn't upload the signed copy
It was accepted and builders have now claim their 5%

Thanks for the help. Did you just upload the copy the bank sent out to you originally.?
Does it take long between claim and confirmation of payment.?
    Thanks

Yeah they happened to give me a pdf anyway of the loan offer so i just uploaded that.

One you give claim detail to their solicitors its just in their hand on when they want to clain the money.. Though in my case they claimed straight away and got their money!

Hi..looking for some advice on the claim stage of HTB for a joint application...

We are about to sign contracts on a property and wondering when we move to the claim stage of HTB and upload the contracts and other required documents, do we have to enter the amount to be claimed for each person individually in the joint application or is this calculated by the contractors..or how does this work? Together we are entitled to receive the 20,000 max refund but our individual max reliefs are different with one being double the other -is the max joint claim calculated as 50/50 or can we share the relief in order to get the max between us of 5% on our property?

Would really appreciate any replies as it doesn't explain this anywhere on revenue from what i can see anyway...thanks in advance :)

From what i remember i think you just enter the total amount at the claim stage.. The revenue then work out percentage of each personas tax is used i guess.

Actually maybe you do enter a specific amount per person. I just check my receipt and yeah it is different amount you enter per person. I think the lowest person has to use nearly of all theirs, and then the remainder is used by second person..
Anyway its pretty straight forward once onto that section. I don't think the site will allow you continue until the values are correct.
