    In short-

Ronan Lyons, resident economist with DAFT, predicts that unless there is significant action taken by the government- that house prices will continue to rise rapidly, for the next 5 to 10 years.

Separately, Leo Varadker has ordered a review of building and construction costs and practices, throughout Europe- to try to get a better understanding of what the problems are here in Ireland.

Its expected the continued bleating by the CIF and other representatives of the construction industry- pleading for more financial incentives are going to fall on deaf ears.

Further- there are calls for a relaxation of regulations governing apartment construction and building heights- particularly in the Dublin areas.
