I dropped a large sheet of marine ply on my poor foot earlier, im not sure whether or not my toes broke though.

Any tell tale signs of a break?

    Pros:
my toe didnt come off in my sock
not the worst pain in the world

    Cons:
Black as the ace of spades
not going to be doing a whole lot of running at the minute

Do they even do anything with a broken toe (middle) or should I just walk it off!!??

Had a similar experience myself. Pain in my right foot toes was excruciating for a couple of weeks and they were as black as coal for about a month. Eventually things returned somewhat to normal: the only difference being that the toes that received the brunt of the impact are still slightly warped in shape for ever more. But, thankfully, like most sensible people I never ever show even my beautiful and best toes to the daylight, under any circumstances.

My big toe bruised and swelled up pretty quick when it happened mine. That died down after about 10 days. I didn't bother with anything other than an ice pack at the time. The only thing different about it these days is that rather than being straight it's permanently in a 1 o'clock position.

If you can't move it independently it's probably broken.

I've broken several over the years. Stay of it till you can stay on it. That's about it, really.
