    Hi all,
Hope I'm posting in the right place.
My 131 vw caddy high brake light lens(red bit) got broken, maybe a ball or something.
So I bought a new light and fitted it but it doesn't work.
I have since tested the old led strip on a 12 v supply and it works.
    I'm only getting 6 v from the cable,anyone have any ideas,tia

Mostly likely the voltage drop is being caused by bad connection in the wiring, look up voltage drop testing with a multi meter to isolate if its a ground or power side issue.
