    Hi all

I recently started working in an accountants and there is always talk of oh when the revenue audited ABC we found them difficult or they didn't listen and so on Or DFG was fine when we explained XYZ (all very vague i know )

But my query is to those who work in an accountants

, what is your actual experience of dealing with the Revenue during times of audit for your clients ?

    Any stories ?

I've heard they can be a horror to deal with and inter departments apparently don't communicate wel with each other

No not a horror to deal with at all, for the most part friendly professional and firm.
However if the client you are representing is a horror then the process can be interesting.

Any dealings we've had with them have been fine. They do put on a bit of a front at first but once you get into things with them, they are grand. Of course you are going to have the odd wagon, but most we have found to be reasonable, and dare say, human.

The biggest pain is the time it takes gathering up all the information they look for.
