Just signed the lease to a new apartment, and clause number one says that we should not assign, sublet or share possession of the Premises with guests, lodgers or any other person without consent in writing of Landlord. I imagine this is pretty standard, so if I want to get an au pair is it likely he will say no? :(

He may not say no but he definitely expects you to seek permission, which is only right.
