    Hi,
A family member recently had a car stolen. It was reported to guards, insurance etc and hasn't showed up since. How long before insurance pay out and what is the process in doing so? Thanks

You need to ask the insurer this.

From memory when a friends was stolen it was 2 months when it didn't turn up that they settled. They will usually seek all keys for the car, evidence of NCT and logbook.

they should do as much research now as to what the car is worth, look on classfied car ads and put the car in to VRT calculator to see what value Revenue give it. In general the insurance company will try to low ball you first.
