Have a McCormick mtx 135 with a few problems!

PTO has started to stop by itself in 540 mode and wont work in 1000 speed.

Will work for 10-20 seconds in 540 and then just stop.

Also the lift arms keep lifting by themselves, won't go down using the controls, will only go down by pressing down the clutch pedal.

Anyone any ideas so seen this before?

    Thanks :)

Excuse me for posting the obvious, but what's the back end oil level like?
Don't know much about mccormicks other than the tractor you mentioned are supposedly bomb proof

Oil levels are fine, and oil is fresh.

only have it a few months TBH but very happy with it apart from these two problems that came up the last few weeks.

I have a cx105. But I know a lad with a few of them bigger ones with Cummins engines.

pto sensor common fault on those, try cleaning it first, most likely will have to renew

    no idea lift arm s

You have to move the lift to set the lift arms every time you turn on the tractor or they go a bit nuts. Just turn the dial down then up to where you want. The light on the button behind the gear lever flashes until you do so. PTO is likely a sensor issue. Unless you are accidently pressing the button down but its out of the way enough I doubt that's the issue.
