Benefit of pumping walls

Grateful for any experience/advice on the following:

I'm renovating a 70sqm mid-terrace ex-corporation property in the crumlin area - was boring a wall for a vent yesterday and discovered that the property (1940's era) has a cavity between the external walls. the walls appear to be two layers of shuttered concrete 2.5 inches apart. It explains the vents in the outside walls which appear to go nowhere!

In terms of insulation - I was going to try externally insulate the property but discovery of the cavity has meant that I would be interested in trying to pump the walls instead with beads. Unfortunately there'll be a number of cold bridges around windows, doors etc that are solid concrete so it won't work as well as the external job but it will be significantly cheaper.

I'm just wondering if anyone has tried this with these sorts of houses before? I've done a bit of searching but I haven't been able to find anything in terms of the sort of benefit in bills reduction could be expected if the walls of pumped, attic is also well insulated and windows replaced with triple glazed versions?

Moreover, the current BER rating is G, anyone have a rough idea in terms of what sort of uptick I might get from the above work?

    Thanks

I THINK IT MIGHT GET A BETTER ANSWER HERE (MOVED FROM PLUMBING & HEATING)
