Just in case you won't find them in a physical shop - I got them from www.nowplates.com and had them delivered on the day after.

Radiator Services on Rutland Place in the city will do them while you wait, not far from O'Connell Street.

Personally (unless they've changed since I last looked), I don't like the font that AZ plates use. Their "1" is missing the tick so it looks like "I" and the font just looks a bit blocky. Annoyed my OCD anyway. I've used eireplates.com a couple of times. The "correct" font is on those. Next day delivery.

Ordering a set is on my to do list but looking the prices here, eireplates is very dear. €16 a set in a b&m or the guts of €30 in eireplates.

€16 sounds very good for a set of pressed plates. However I would like to see a pic of these plates. They may be the cheap "pressed plates" which fall apart after a few months / years, e.g. the centre falls out of '0's.

The plates supplied by Eireplates are the correct / well-made pressed plates.

Having said that I got a set from them some years and I wasn't happy with them...they used small ' - ' (dashes) between the digits when normal ' - ' (dashes) would have been the correct version to use. Meaning there were huge (unnecessary) gaps between the numbers and letters. My 2c.

I would not buy from AZ plates, got a set of pressed plates recently, was washing the car the other day by hand, the black on the numbers is coming off. I emailed them about the issue and all I got back was that there has never been issues with their plates.
