Builder Changed Stone Mason

My Builder has changed stone mason half way through the build.
Now the stone work is finished to a different standard - it looks different to the eye.
The second stone masons work in my opinion is of a lesser standard to the initial mason - the builder will probably say different. One section had to come back down & is being rebuilt - no argument from the builder on this one as it was a disgrace.
It is obvious that stone masonry is an art and I am very disappointed that the builder has changed mason - now the house does not look right - two different styles are evident.
What grounds have I to get the stone masonry completed to the same standard by the builder?

Have you got a written contract ?
What did the architects spec state?
What does your arch have to say?
Did you do a 'control sample'?

    Yes.
Said stonework as indicated on drawings.
Said very poor from photos but hasn't been out to see it yet - due this week.
No control sample - initial stone masons began & work was excellent, they probably did 50%. I didn't know builder had gotten different stone mason to complete til last week.

from my limited experience i dont think its a good id ea to be changing a stonemason halfway through a build

it's likely you're going to be able to notice a difference anyway regardless of skill level

Did your contract provide that that particular stone-mason be employed?
