    Walking down the road today and in front was a bin truck loading the bins outside a shop,the guy wheels the black bin up and tips it in then grabs a brown bin in and tips it into the same truck.Not the first time seeing this carry on,so whats the story...

    I believe some refuse trucks have different compartments for different types of waste.

    They are called split bodies or twinpack. They can be separated 50/50 70/30 And some have 3 binlifts while others only have the normal 2.

    Not sure wether it was a split bin truck but have seen refuse collecter trucks throwing black bag household waste into the truck with the recycling bags too and it had the full width compaction blade.
