    Hi all,

Heading to Wesley College on Saturday and thinking of getting the 14 bus from Dolier Street.

Does anyone here know which specific stops in Ballinteer the 14 stops in and if they are close to Wesley College?

    Regards,
    M

Yes - there is a bus stop at the centra shop on the wyckham bypass. From there it is only a 5 minute walk to Wesley (but you will have to cross the busy road). The stop back into town is almost directly opposite.

Thanks all, stopping at the Centra sounds like my best bet.

    What's wrong with the bus?

The 14 is fine - it does exactly what it is supposed to do.

However, if you were going from the city centre to Dundrum, LUAS is the best option as the 14 serves other areas (Rathgar, Churchtown and Ballinteer) en route, which means it takes longer.

Some people seem to forget that the 14 then links all those areas to the Malahide Road, City Centre and to Dundrum too - which is important to the people who live and work in them. As ever, people just look at whatever their personal journey is, and ignore everyone else in making a judgement about the bus service.

OP - If I were going from the city centre to Wesley, you can do it one of three ways:

    1) Take the 14 direct to stop 2861 (Wyckham Way / Wesley College)
    2) Take the LUAS to Balally and then take a 10-15 minute walk to Wesley College
    3) Take the LUAS to Dundrum and then take a short trip on the 14 to stop 2845 (Wyckham Way / Mayfield Terrace)
