Social welfare entitlement

    Hi
I am posting this on behalf of my partner.
The situation is, she has had to leave work due to stressful working conditions. One of the managers was continuously berating her in front of other work colleagues, especially in weekly team meetings and her line manager was constantly picking on her, about the smallest of things. He also has behaved quite aggressively towards her on a number of occasions.

She has been to the doctor in the past few months to get sleeping tablets as her sleeping got so bad as she was very stressed. She was been worried sick for the past six months. She is still anxious at the thoughts of going into work everyday because she does not know what she will be faced with.

In terms of reasons for leaving (Q14:Why did your employment end?), in the UP 1 form, what is the best way for her to approach this?
Should she talk to her doctor again about all of her options before she finally leaves her employment?

Thanks in advance for all help.

She needs to write the truth which is she resigned but she can speak to them and explain the circumstances.
With a doctors letter they will probably waive the 9 week waiting period.

Is she fit for work at the minute. She might consider her doctor signing her off on stress and claim illness benefit.
Alternatively if she leaves her job and explains the situation to the social welfare office they may waive the 9 week penalty period.
