New Skoda Octavia RS 2017

    Just configured one up on the Skoda website and it appears the vRS mode select button is an optional extra. What the feck is that all about. Did earlier models have this as standard??

    No it's an option. It's standard in the UK.

    Throttle response, steering weight, air con strength, that stupid fake sound and the directional headlights speed which is the only useful part of it.

    "Comfort" option would only be there if you also spec'd the adaptive dampers. Not sure if they're offered on the Skoda.

    DCC is, comfort is still there even without DCC... although I am not sure what it does.

    I was wondering about this. These settings are changed via the infotainment screen so on the RS does it only turn on the fake noise which I would like as I'm getting the Tdi. But car was ordered before I found out for sure it has been omitted.
