Planning to meet up with a friend in the Killorglin area for an open water swim. We both have some experience open water swimming and are looking for recommendations on some good safe spots in that area.

    Any tips appreciated!

You can swim in caragh lake which is about 5 or 6k away. I'm pretty sure there is an open water swim organised there.

Excellent link, I like the sound of peddlers's lake too!
