Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hey guys, I've decided to do Ty, I'm already regretting it tbh, everyone is telling me that it's a waste of time..:(
    Anyways, I was wondering does anyone have any ideas for work experience for me,, like I really want to work for some charity, but I don't know if they'd take ty students, no luck finding anything so far.
    I also like French, so is there work experience involving French? I'm just really perplexed...
    What are you all doing? A lot of my friends have all theirs sorted out, and I want to finalise mine. I don't want to leave it to last minute, otherwise I'd probably end up working in some newsagents etc..

    By the end of TY, one of the things you will hopefully learn is not to listen to other people but to make your own mind up about things.
    TY is as good or as bad as what you put into it.

    Most schools have a list of places that will take TY, but if yours hasn't, call in favours from friends of every relative you have.

    If you are in Dublin, contact the Alliance Francaise - see can you get work experience in their cafe.
