    Ms

Surprised they was no thread on this yet.

So do you people think it is right or wrong that the EU is suing Google?

Me I think if someone is paying to be at the top of the list well that is only fair that they are there but if Google were doing it to promote only there companies well that ain,t fair and maybe the EU fine is right.
I don,t see Google being too worried about it do.

    Peace and long life.

There are things that bother me about google, but no, I don't think they should be fined in this instance.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Yes they deserved the fine they abused their power by placing ads for their own selling service at the top of any search results even above other ads such as premium ads that I presume companies pay to be put at the top of the results for a Google search but Google's own selling service was placed above those premium ads which is an abuse of their power as the world's biggest search engine.

I guess it depends whether the advertisers were promised they'd be put at the very top of the list - otherwise I don't see why Google wouldn't put themselves there - it's just sound business sense. If the advertisers were misled, then I guess they have a case, but we'd need to hear what the T&Cs were..

I wonder how they arrived at the 2 point 4 billion figure. I'm drooling at just the point 4. You could buy TWO DUP parties for that amount of money, with change. Not that you'd want two of them, one is enough.
