I would recommend Skechers Go Walk, the slip on types - super comfortable! I also have a pair of New Balance, I think they are 733 or 773 or something like that, also really comfy. I generally find the runner type shoes where your heel is a bit higher than your toes more comfortable. I wouldn't get something really flat or with soles that are too thin.

Thanks. Not too pushed on slip-ons. Are the skechers good for outdoors general everyday walking. will take a look at New Balance ones.

I wear my Go Walks whenever I know I'm going to be on my feet/walking a lot, they really are great for that, your feet feel really cushioned and they are so light. I know they're not the prettiest shoes in the world though. They have lace up shoes too that are similar, maybe just try some on and see what you like best. I would recommend the ones marked Goga Mat or Max on the insole over the memory foam ones btw, not a fan of the memory foam.

I have a pair of skechers memory foam go walks and they are so comfortable BUT, I would not wear them going walking if I'm going for exercise. They lack the support I feel I need when walking. They are lovely for hanging around, shopping etc or if you're feet are tired. Maybe the gogamat version mentioned above have changed this, but I still think the design of the shoe would be too relaxed/comfortable to give support.

I prefer my Nikes for walking.

They're quite expensive but Adidas Ultra Boost are by far the most comfortable trainer you can buy

I'd go for Converse or for Superga. Replay also so nice ones with embellishment.

I'm pretty sure there's an Ultra Boost ST version with more support but I've never tried them. You'd really wanna go try them on to see if there is much difference.

There's also Pure Boost that are a bit cheaper, might also be worth looking into.

Neither of those brands are particularly cushioned or give any arch supports. In fact Cons are popular in Weightlifting Gyms for exactly that reason, they're so flat.

Not particularly comfortable for long walks.

I like both brands and have a few pairs of each, but for aesthetics, not comfort.

Probably my most comfy trainers are my Nike Air Max Thea- who knew I'd be wearing a version of the same trainers now that I did in primary school :)

The one thing I've learned over the years is that this is a very individual subject. I used to buy lots of trainers, runners with cushioning and strong arch support for walking, thinking that this was supposed to be the right thing. And I wondered why I kept getting shin splints etc.

I bought a pair of Under Armour trainers when I was last in the US which are very light, foam soled etc. And they are fantastic for me.
