Pierce Brosnan, he's in the Ra!

Pierce Brosnan beards up as Gerry Adams, a hard working politician who becomes the victim of a one man terror campaign from crazed illegal immigrant The Foreigner, played here by British National Jackie Chan. This summer Pierce must show his true steele as he struggles to stop Chan and keep his accent under control, before facing off one on one in a kung fu showdown on top of Stormont

It could have been a better film without Jackie Chan.

I meant that the martial arts scenes are crap. It wasn't anything to do with him being Chinese.

By the end of the film we could all be wishing that filmmakers went that ultra historical route a la 1980's British TV News and actually had some fella dub over Pierce's atrocious accent - because the sound of the real thing is an obvious danger to the population at large.

Love Pierce, but it is amazing how he can't do an Irish accent of any description at all. Still though, he's now played a Tony Blair surrogate AND a Gerry Adam's one too. I look forward to the day when he plays a version of Thatcher.

I just wish he'd hurry up and make Taffin 2.

Looks like Brosnans character is lost on that film. It appears on the face of it to be just another martial arts action fest.

Pretty dark role for Jackie Chan. Might be worth the watch though.

I'd say it was just a priority to get an Irishman to play Adams, and the fact that he manages to look like him is a huge bonus

It won't come anywhere near Harry Enfield's superb performance in this taut political drama:

I'm not sure whose accent is more comical, Brosnan's or Jackie Chan's!
