So I'm looking at buying a new car. I currently drive a 2005 Fiesta and feel it's time we parted ways.

I am a late 20s female and looking for suggestions. I'm considering a loan or PCP finance. Price range between 15,000-20,000.
Asthetically I like the new Renault Clio or Seat Leon. Any suggestions?

Personally i'd go for the Clio, you can spec it up and stay within your budget whereas only the basic model Leon is within budget. Bear in mind that the Leon would be bigger than the Clio also. If you like Seat, look at the Ibiza, top spec FR model within your budget.

If you like the Clio then look at the new Micra. They're probably doing scrappage

1,500 scrappage on new Micra. It looks really well, interior can look very well spec'd up a little, and certainly a step change from the old micra which was dire. But feels a bit underwhelming on the road. Clio should feel a bit more substantial in the same class but just not as fresh and trick.

Suzuki Swift is very new you might like it. Also the Opel Corsa and Peugeot 208 are two other cars worth considering.

Clio and Leon are great cars, cant go wrong with the Corsa or any of the Toyota or Hyundai models in that range. My advice would be to visit a few dealers and have a good look at all the cars you like, that`s the best way to get a good feel for the car your inevitably going to spend a lot of time with (and money on).

I`d also be very careful with regards pcp, the final "balloon" payment catch a lot of people off guard, dealers will sell you on the idea because 9 time out of 10 when people are coming up to the final balloon payment they`ll just go back and get another new car and keep the same monthly payment (the dealer will do all he can to recommend this).

The Corsa is probably the oldest car in its class along with its platform-sharing Fiat Punto. It's out 11 years and was only average then.

I have a new Skoda Fabia. Great car, one if best in class and good boot size, as I have kids. With android auto it's packed with tech to get the most out of it, the speech command button on the steering wheel connects to phone so all media and maps can be voice activated.

Skoda often run zero interest deals and scrappage. Same engine as polo and all other vehicles cars. Go and test drive one along with others to get a feel for it.

In relation to PCP I made a 2300 deposit and have 250 monthlys on the mid spec model. Reasonable and I can save a little for the future so in 6 years I will have most the balloon payment if I need to exit the deal.

Spoiled for choice and a lot of good options at that price range. How about another Fiesta? Isn't there a new model coming out

PCP probably not a bad option at this price range as the balloon payment is unlikely to be massive and should be manageable

Are you doing much longer distance driving on motorways or N roads? If so, might be a consideration towards something in the Leon class. The new Megane looks like a very attractive package with keen pricing

Mazda 3 is another good option but may be a bit pricey for your budget. Smart looking car with nice driving dynamics

If you like the Seat Leon you might like the new just recently released Seat Ibiza too. The Mazda 2 is also another one to consider looking at.
