Broadband order status?

    Ordered Eir Fibre broadband package. Was provisionally given an install date for tomorrow 27/06.
    Yesterday I received a call from Gavin on the service team, who stated he couldn't proceed with the order as my current phone provider (Vodafone) had a hold on the line.  

    I told Gavin that there should be no reason for Vodafone to hold the line and I'd call them. He assured me the order would be kept open and once Vodafone released the line he'd be able to proceed.

    Called Vodafone and they confirmed that they had no Hold on the line. Account is paid (direct debit) and have not been under contract with them for years.

    Called Eir back and suddenly no record of my order can even be found. I persisted with the call rep I was talking to and yes she found the order and a note from Gavin who was to call me back. I've heard from no one.

    - So can my order proceed - since Vodafone had no lock to release, nothing has changed from their side?
    - will my install be tomorrow or not? Am I talking time off work or not?
