Have the above chopsaw. Is it possible to buy a disk for these which cut metal which dont wear out as fast as the abrasive disks or is it only abrasive disks that can be used? Is there some other type metal disk you can buy?

I don't think they can be retrofitted with a carbide disk, the running speeds don't match so it can be dangerous as far as im aware.

    Whats the saw like?

grand but you dont get much use out of a disk. AS in with its half used its not really anymore good as can fail to cut right through. I have a load of half disks now around the place and the disks are expensive as well at around €10 a pop

Scotts for tools , the ones from wicklow , always have a demo at the ploughing of a chopsaw disc.
For all intents and purposes it looks like a wood disc with big teth but it is a metal disc,
They reckon it lasts 40 times as long as a standard disc.
    Cant remember the price though
