I found Finglas a breeze after Raheny and its tiny roads with cars parked both sides. Watch coming out of the centre, it's been a while but I think there's a yield sign easy to miss before you come to the gate thing. That counts in your test, even though it's not on the public road.

Good number of roundabouts on Glasnevin Avenue they like to bring people through. Will probably be at least one turn from a side road onto Finglas Road - make sure you stay in the correct lane.

Well worth your while do a pre-test with an ADI who works in the Finglas area.
    Good luck.

Yes I had a nice tester. It seemed to fly in alright, but it must have been at least half an hour.
It was my sixth time when I switched to Finglas. You will get it eventually, don't worry.

In fairness, time-wise, it wasn't that long start to finish as I kept applying for cancellations. The first three I would agree I probably wan't ready for, but the last two in Raheny really annoyed me. Particularly the time I was taken up Demesne in Killester with cars up on the path either side and he had the cheek to tell me I was too close to parked cars.

Finglas was a breeze in comparison.

Passed in Finglas a couple of weeks ago. 8am. Thread above and posted in Success thread also. Stayed mainly around the estates to avoid busy routes but schools were still on then so may change. Give me a shout if you've any questions.

If you don't pass your pretests don't stress it. I failed one badly two weeks beforehand, and for the remaining two weeks just did lessons without pretests. Working on where I was going wrong. I think my instructor realised the pretests were adding to my anxiety over it so just focused on driving.

if they want to fail you they will.. they did to me many times marking points randomly, one of them started tapping on ipad from time I left the centre.
For example if someone thinks you went bit slow somewhere, or close to white line somewhere, you will get 5 and 6 marks for the same thing. Don't forgive them and don't just email RSA, complain to other governmental bodies.
