Shipping large item from Amazon - ParceMotel Not an option

So I'm looking to order this from Amazon but they will not ship to Ireland or N.Ireland so parcel motel isn't an option due to size.

The saving to be had on amazon is huge. Are there any other options I have here?

You could try address pal from Anpost, they will charge you €25 for oversize item, you will need to collect from the anpost sorting office.

The strange part about that item, it ships to France and Spain but not to Ireland or Northern Ireland

Would you consider 2nd hand? Amazon.es has it for €244 including shipping. Sold by a 3rd party seller.

It has aaa batteries in the box, this is why it is not allowed. Against addresspal rules too.

Shouldnt be a problem for Amazon, AAA would be Alkaline or at a push NiMH, neither of which are prohibited in any way.

amazon block lots of things which there "should not be a problem" with.

I can see packs of AAA sold by amazon which will not send there, and some that will.

I think they have a trigger happy "ban" person -and I still think it is more than likely the battery being the issue here, there could well be an internal lithium one too.

All batteries are prohibited by an post.

    Click the other sellers
    Choose "gadet-sout-side"

Ships from Germany and they charge £4 shipping to Ireland

So what I intended to do was buy from the Amazon Warehouse deals at £184.76. If I buy this and get it shipped to Address pal, how will An post handle the AAA batteries. Will they reject the package or remove the batteries?

Would be really nice if they didn't include batteries.

I think the addresspal uses road/sea shipping, so batteries don't come into it.

Their terms and conditions would suggest it goes by Air:

    An Post does not carry:

Dangerous, poisonous or infectious items, explosives, munitions of war, firearms, corrosives, acids, paint removers, oxidising substances, organic peroxides, compressed, liquidised or dissolved gases (including butane gas lighters or aerosols), flammable solids or liquids or materials liable to spontaneous combustion, paints, varnishes, dyes, radioactive materials), pornography or anything that would cause embarrassment in transit, living creatures, prescribed or dangerous drugs , mercury, materials deemed illegal or prohibited by any Government Authority, Perishable Goods, organic or biological materials likely to perish under normal transit conditions, IATA restricted articles - such as liquids, Items likely to cause injury to any other Item or person, unless An Post has agreed in writing to carry such Items subject to such conditions as determined by An Post.

While ordinary batteries aren't usually a problem, I'd say once they see batteries they would refuse.
