Paint garden walls help, colour blind :(

Hi everyone. So I have a nice patio out back that I've never really done anything with, but I gave it a big clean today. A friend was saying maybe a lick of paint would brighten it up. Like white and a tiny bit of blue. But I'm colour blind and I have a MASSIVE fear I'm gonna pick the wrong colours (it's happened before).

I've attached a picture for you can see the layout. Would white on the right wall, left wall and small shed be too much? Is white a good colour or is it too much space for all white?

And finally, I've never painted walls outside. What type paint should i be looking at, how many coats, primers an things like that.

The door to the shed is falling apart but I'm gonna fix that up at some point and was thinking I could paint that a blue type colour.

Thanks for any advice you can give!

Have a block wall in the garden, not painted. but I power wash it every year and that takes the grime off it.

White could be severe on a sunny day. Off white would be fine.

    Is the house painted?

Off white sounds good, that's what I'm looking for thanks. Colour blind and I wouldn't notice that, except when it's sunny and bright, rare here :)

It is, about 15 (probably more) years ago, a sort of nasty beige and red. But I'm not worried about the house. Will be getting a professional in to do that at a later point.

It mightn't be any harm to pick a colour that will look good in the yard and on the house?

I would just go with plain white or cream. You can't really go wrong with those

I'm after painting my shed with Cuprinol forget-me-not blue and I think its a really great colour! So maybe that for your shed door after you get it fixed? Just to give a little pop of colour. You would only need a very small can for that.

The most important thing is that the walls are free from any loose paint and grime, so powerwash and then let dry before you start painting.
