Two picks for tomorrow, one hopeful and one I am quietly confident on.

The hopeful pick is Solar Impose in the 7:10 at Southwell. The last time this horse was in class 4 company, it won, so I am hoping that there is still some vestige of the horse left that won the grand annual at Cheltenham just over a year ago. There really should be no excuse for this tomorrow. The trip and ground should be perfect, the opposition is a stone worse off than what it faced last time out where it finished 6 lengths off the winner. This is a horse I am rapidly losing patience with however, so I am not getting stuck into the 5/1 that's available on this in a serious way.

The other pick I think should win is Black Zambezi in the 8:30 at Kilbeggan. Winner at Kilbeggan last time out when stepped up in trip, the connections must feel like they really got a tune out of the horse there, as it goes over same course and distance. I am not at all surprised, this looked a serious chaser in the making that time, the horse physically dwarfed the other entrants that day and you'd be thinking that the further it goes, the better it will get. That's obviously all in the future though. If it can just do what it did last time out, I don't see what beats it tomorrow. Best price on this 9/2.

Singles and a small double for me with these.

Best of luck with them Francie.

I've had a decent swipe at Zig Zag in the 18.25 at 9/2 with Ladbrokes.

Thanks lads, Black Zambezi won as expected and depending on what the handicapper does it could be worth keeping tabs on. Solar Impulse ran a good race and looks to have found its level and may win soon, but is likely to be a terrible price.

    Cheers for that

Steps up in class and trip (which I think will suit) tomorrow at Kilbeggan. 5/1 best price not great, but am happy to have a small bet on this to complete the three timer.
