Crows Nesting in Cavity Wall

    Hi

Moved into a new house earlier this year. One of the wall vents on the garage has no outer cover and during the spring a family of large black birds which I assume are crows or rooks have moved in. They appear to have carried in sticks and other material and built a nest in the wall cavity. I haven't seen the nest but they dropped a lot of debris outside during spring.

I will leave them alone now while they are nesting, but I want to know when would be the best time of year to block their access so they don't nest there next year.

You've got Jackdaws.. I like having them around, they nest in old chimneys here in the yard but I can see why you wouldn't want them in your garage..
