Damp proof membrane for floor joists

    Hey,
I am renovating a bungalow and I have taken up all the floor boards. The walls are block on flat, and the joists are sitting on blocks extending from the base of the walls. The joists are in good repair and I am replacing the old damp proof membrane that is torn.
It looks like roofing felt, thick and tarry!
I have been looking at damp proof membrane online and what I have found is a thin plastic sheet about 100mm roll, like this

Is this what I need to put between the blocks and the joists?
    Thanks!

Yes, is there any evidence of a DPC in the actual wall?

Anyway run DPM under the joist where it sits on the block and run it up the wall to cover end of each joist if no evidence of DPC in wall or if you are working below it.

You could also use the wider dpc rolls too, save you time cutting straight strips of dpm. Comes in 215mm & 450mm as well as the 100mm, depending on your joist depth and height needed to get up to external ground level.
You could also treat the ends of the joists now while you're at it for belt & braces if they are untreated
