Mchale wrapper problem

Have a problem with the cut and tie on our 991bjs. The ram was only opening halfway back after starting to wrap a bale so I took the pipe off the end of the ram and connected it to fitting near the accumulator and pressed the button to open it fully, but when I connect pipe back where it should be the ram will only close halfway so I'm worse off now it won't cut the plastic. Anyone any idea what could be wrong ?

Sounds like you now have the exact opposite issue, so you have over primed it. So you just need to release some of the oil that you added to the accumulator.

There is a ball bearing non return valve where you topped it up press it with a small punch. Have a cloth wrapped around as there will be a mess.

Google "Mchale 991b manual issue 12". It will show you all adjustments possible on the wrapper. Other versions seem to be missing details on the accumulator.

That was handy, didn't know about that ball bearing, gave 2 hrs messing with it last night, sorted in 5 minutes after reading ur message. Cheers !
