cant find rte 1/2 etc

    forgive if this is wrong place to post this. Last night wen I turned on my tv. It came on as normal... except I only had sky channells. No RTE 1 RTE 2 etc the first channell on the list is w I have tried using the non sky remote (the one for the tv) and select tv and all the "normal" chanells come up on the little boxes but then they vanish when I select any of them.
    I am sorry I am not explaining this very well but I am confused. every bit of technology in my house is acting up. btw Anyone know how I can get my bookmark toolbar back on my laptop.
    Grimlins??
