Use of mirrors

    Can someone please clarify when using mirrors when turning left or right is it rearview mirror, side mirror and then indicate or rearview mirror indicate and then side mirror, there seems to be conflicting i formation onthis. Thanks

    Just got my full licence and was taught by my instructor that it is rearview mirror first, then left or right, indicator and wing mirror again. I'm sure it doesn't matter too much, as long as you've covered all your mirrors.

    Was how my instructor put it to me. Mirror relating to the side mirror. But it's a good idea to regularly see what's going on around you. If you are going to slow down, you'd want to make sure that someone isn't too close behind you.

    Passed a few weeks ago and before then my instructor always said my observation was spot on. Never mentioned any order and even now I'd struggle to tell you what I still do but I'm pretty sure I do: wing, rear, signal wing, manoeuvre.
