I bought a small steel shed (approx. 5ft by 6ft) with a slopped corrugated metal roof. I live in a very humid place (Japan) so I insulated the shed by putting up an aluminium sheet barrier all around the inside and styrafoam boards. Still, there isnt much change in the temperature inside versus outside. Believe it or not, there are NO vents. I have read lots of advice on ventilation..but not sure which is best. I have heard that in a high humidity area you should have one vent at the bottom and one near the roof. I have heard one is enough near the roof. I have considered putting in one, tiny, powered fan that connects to a temperature activated switch near the top of the shed. That means cutting into one of the metal panels. Do I need two vents? Is one enough? I really thought my insulation would make a big difference. Also I should say its not in direct sunlight (under a few tree branches) and its on a wood platform. Any thoughts?
