Can't transfer media files from Samsung S6

    Hi folks,
I'm looking for advice. I have some old videos and photos on my Samsung Galaxy S6 that I need to transfer to a computer. When I connect the phone to the computer it recognizes the device alright but when I open the photos/videos folder it's showing up as being empty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've tried the basics, making sure its unlocked, rebooting but to no avail.

Does it show that its connected but charging? Check within the settings if there is an option to change USB connections so that MTP transfer is on when connected by USB.
