    Hi folks,

I installed a stainless steel solar cylinder when I built my house a few years ago but never installed the panels.

Now I am looking at installing and air to water heat pump and was wondering can I use the solar cylinder for the air to water?

    Thanks

for some of it yes , a normal HP would be too grate an output to make economic sense.
However be aware that if the HP needed defrosting in winter, then using the hp for HW would be wrong as you are better using the immersions directly as its elec that defrosts the HP

Whats the existing set up, you might get more bang for your buck in the pluming or renewables sections here.

The more info on the energy demand load and the existing hardware set up/ fuel types etc the better the answers
