creationwatches are cheap, but you'll probably get stung by customers.

A lot of options in that price range! Seiko cocktail time, should get a Stowa or maybe a Junghans max bill non-chrono. The Tissot Visodate is a lovely watch too and you'd get a good bit of change.

Post some examples of the style you like?

Visodate is a reasonable price new, however I think it looks a lot better in images than in person. I think the size and proportions are not correct. Strap and clasp feel cheap also IMO.

The for sale thread has a longines for sale in your budget. Bullet proof purchase that you can sell on if required for no loss. It's a classy piece I wish someone would buy to take away the temptation...

I have this in white dial and leather strap which I got in weirs for around the same price as the above....that included a 10% discount. I'd imagine it's a bit more expensive for the bracelet version. I'm sure you could save a few quid by shopping around on the net but you have to weigh up the advantage of an authorised bricks and mortar dealer against a grey market version off the net for the sake of maybe 50 quid...

Yeah I like it....be warned though, its a big unit.....44mm and quite thick at 18mm or thereabouts I think. It wears big because it does not have a bezel like a divers watch to reduce the face size.

I have reasonably big wrists at 7.5 inches so its fine for me but if you have skinny wrists, you might want to try it on for size first (i'd recommend this anyway for this kind of money).

The build quality is very good and has a "premium" feel to it. Only issue I have is the crown is a tad "wobbly" on the stem (don't think that's the correct term) when unscrewed and the watch almost shudders if you hand wind it too aggressively. But this is very minor and wouldn't let that put you off. Main concern for you would be the size.

Sounds like a good deal if it can be pulled off. What dealer are you using? I've used Jomashop before and they seem good (delivered to Middle east though so no customs issues). Only risk would be random inspection but I've had a few from creation who do the same thing and never been a problem.

Have you considered Hamilton for that kind of money? Swiss made also and very good quality......

Good luck with it if you decide to go with it...you wont be disappointed....
