My husbands employer pays some of our health insurance to VHI and we pay the balance. Every year I would send in a letter from his work to revenue stating the amount they paid and we would usually get back 20% of this.

But this year revenue have said that it is limited to €1000.00 x 20% per adult and they have also gone back and recalculated 2015 and said we owe them €112.00 from that year that they gave us back too much again that it should of been limited to the €1000.00 x 20% per adult.

Can anyone tell me if this is correct because the lady I spoke to in revenue didn't seem too sure, and she said that she thinks this changed in 2014 in the budget?

    Thanks in Advance
