TRCN1 questions

    Hi. I was proprietary director of a limited company(massive mistake, never agree to this, dealing with this tax stuff is a nightmare and we never even had any money or income). The company was dissolved in 2015. So I submitted form 11 last year(2016), and now I shouldn't need to do this any more- I wasn't a proprietary director of a company in 2016. I got a form 11 in the post this week so I want to cancel.

    I gather I need TRCN1. But I'm not sure what I should fill in. Specifically :
    • Reference no : is this my PPS, the company CRO number, the company VAT number?
    • Assets/premises : we didn't have any as far as I know, can I just put N/A? Or is it even relevant since I'm only deregistering myself, not the company?
    • Tax type : should this be 'Income tax' and my PPS?
    • Do I need to fill in the 'current means' section? I don't think we were sole traders of partners
    • Do I need to fill in the section about the current 'business involvement of each director'? I don't know their PPS.

    I suppose what confuses me is am I filling this in for the company, or for myself? I don't want my PAYE registration to be cancelled or something.

    Alternatively is there another way I can tell the Revenue I don't need to be self-assessed anymore except this form? Just call them or something?
