Swiss Army Watch

Hi I got a Swiss army watch repaired it need a battery and Spindle for turning watch I left it in to a reptuable jewellers but when I got it back it was going forward by 3 hours Sp I went back with watch and they took it back in again two months later I have to ring them he eventually gets back to me and says its a problem…

I left it in to a reptuable jewellers but when I got it back it was going forward by 3 hours Sp I went back with watch and they took it back in again two months later I have to ring them he eventually gets back to me and says its a problem with the mechanism now but would fix it for 200 and guarantee it for a year

What I want to ask is should they not have noticed this the first time when I asked for a estimate and is it worth spending more money in this now or go some where else

I agree that their performance at the first opportunity doesn't reflect very well and I'd be looking elsewhere. Look at this thread to see if there's somewhere that works for you:

Also consider whether you are prepared to send it away in which case the world is your oyster. I live in Berlin and use watchmakers in the UK and France depending on what I need done (whether it's quartz or electronic, do I need the services of a lapping machine, do I need him to make parts, do I need it to be an authorised repair shop for a particular brand etc etc.)
