It just come to my attention that the usage of the word scrope as a past tense of scrape is not legitimate and is not actually a word reconised by the Collins dictionary.

My son keeps saying 'brang' as the past tense of 'bring'. He knows it's wrong, but likes the sound of it and likes how it annoys me.

But 'stupider' is a comparative form of the word stupid, e.g. this thread is stupider than most others.

    That's the past participle though.

    Have you ever brung it?

If you're going to correct someone at least use the proper word. It's bringed.

Maybe it's a reflection of myself but i thought this was going to be about the bastardising of the words squeeze and grope..

Drives me mad when I hear Americans on TV saying 'he drug' as the past tense for 'he dragged'.

I knew a small country place where most of the kids used jamp instead of jumped as in "he jamp off the wall and hurt his knee when he landed". They decided it was a good word and should be used...
