I'm in Italy in the coastal area of Tuscany and every night I'm hearing a call of what I think is a bird (but could be something else). It's wrecking my head trying to figure out what it is. It sounds like a smoke alarm when the batteries run out. A signal chirp every 5-10 seconds and only at night. Sound file attached! Listen closely. Any ideas???
