Good Knapsack sprayer

Reggie.

Looking to buy a good knapsack sprayer for a few calf paddocks that a mounted sprayer would to awkward to work.

Anyone any info on a decent make as there seems to be plenty of choice.

Also what's the best spray for thistles, docks and nettles that can be applied with above mentioned sprayer.

Older generation just has the hand held one from woodies. The one you pump the top of. Handy to tip around a paddock everytime you herd and won't break your back. Relatively cheap aswell.

We just use grazon. Handy one litre bottles and kills most of the nasties.

Got one this year. Powerplus, holds 12 ltrs. Look up varo.com
Its plastic and cost only €20, in the coop. The full brass ones cost €75.
Does the job fine.

Went out to the garage to check that for you, in the rain. What we do for our fellow Boardies.

Cooper pegler. Cp20 is the dogs danglies as far as knapsacks go. Swissmex good also cheaper with serviceable oarts

Inter sprayers are great and easy to get replacement parts , cost bout 80 Euro for 16L , cheaper brands out ter but it's harder to get parts just depends how much you will be using it.

Either side.
We do have a different lance on it that we got from our local spray company.
I can take a few pics 2mora and send them on if ya want.
As ya well know, I'm fairly light on the weight front, but unless yer doing the sorta work I'd generally be at, three hours or so with it on yer back. It'll suit ya down to the ground.

Never any harm to look after the back. No matter how long you wear it

All depends on how long they last. I've seen one last only a month before. Was bought for €50 and everything was just made of plastic and no strength about it.

I would highly recommend a Solo knapsack sprayer. I have used it several times and prefer it over our Coopler Pegler. Its easier on your back /shoulders and easier to pump and comes with different nozzles.
When I did my pesticide course (hand held) the instructor used Solo knapsacks and everyone on the course thought that they were more comfortable than their own sprayers.

bought one 2 years ago and a serious piece of kit

would hardly know you are carrying 10-12ltrs of water, great on the back which is worth every penny

Yea the handle can be fitted either side, handy for us citogs.
